Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 starts getting November security patch

Samsung has started pushing out a new update to its Galaxy A5 (2016) smartphone. Currently hitting unlocked models in Europe (specifically, the Netherlands), the update brings along Android security fixes for the month of November.

Given that the update - which arrives as firmware version XXU3BPK1 - has just started rolling out, it may take time before it hits your device. Meanwhile, if you feel impatient, you can manually check for the update by heading to your handsets Settings menu.

Nougat powered Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 spotted on GFXBench

Looks like the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) will be soon get the Nougat update. The device - powered by Android version 7.0 - has been spotted on benchmarking website GFXBench, indicating that the update is being tested by the company.

The handset was made official back in January this year, and it runs Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) out of the box.

Sadly, theres currently no information on exactly when the tech giant will push out the update. Heres hoping that testing goes smoothly and the update arrives sooner rather than later.

Google recently launched Duo, the companyâ€™s newest mobile video calling app set out to directly rival with Facetime. Googleâ€™s Duo was only released a few days ago and it is already sitting at number one in the Google Play Store and reached top 30 on the iOS app store. All this thanks to Duoâ€™s dead simple setup which only requires a mobile number to be confirmed via SMS.

Android Police has gotten their hands on a tester build of the unreleased Allo app which Google announced back at Google I/O this year promising a smart messenger that can predict your answers and learns how you communicate with your friends. There are many sticker packs with weird, outrageous and somewhat suggestive stickers.

You will be able to download sticker packs and arrange them in any order youâ€™d like under â€œMy Stickersâ€. And although these stickers are in the test build of the app, there is no guarantee that theyâ€™ll make it to the final product. There will probably be some people who are easily offended by these stickers who take life too seriously.
