LG has just launched a new lineup of “FullVision” displays with its Q series of midrange devices, one that has been leaked recently. LG calls it the company’s “mid-range smartphones boasting the essential features of LG premium phones at exceptional price points.”. Rather than offering a “G6 mini” model, LG has decided to spin it off as another lineup of devices altogether.

The LG Q6 is the median option while the Q6+ and the Q6α is a step above or below the Q6, respectively. The different models only differ in RAM and storage capacitites. All Q6 variants will get a 5.5-inch FullVision display with FHD+ resolution (2160x1080px) with the same design language as the LG G6. A Snapdragon 435 CPU ticks inside while a 3,000 mAh battery powers the device.

Here are the memory configurations for the Q6 devices:

  • LG Q6α â€" 2GB RAM / 16GB storage
  • LG Q6 â€" 3GB RAM / 32GB storage
  • LG Q6+ - 4GB RAM / 64GB storage

Connectivity specs include 802.11n Wi-Fi (No 5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2. On the back is a single 13MP camera with a secondary 100-degree 5MP selfie camera on the front. The hardware is still made of 7000 series aluminum, just like the G6. Oh yeah, and the Q6 phones will all feature the G6’s facial recognition implementation.

The Q6 is set to go on sale in “key markets” of Asia starting August. Availability will follow for Europe, Latin America and North America.
